Le Samedi 21 Mars 2020, s’est tenu à Niaouli dans la commune d’Allada (Bénin) une séance de formation sur les techniques de production de quelques essences forestières (Moringa oleifera, Artemisia annua, Khaya senegalensis, Terminalia superba, Tectona grandis). Les participants étaient composés principalement des femmes du groupement « Missimahou ». Quelques hommes du village intéressés par la formation se sont ajoutés d’où cette formation a réuni environ une vingtaine de participants.
L’objectif de cette formation est de diversifier les activités génératrices de revenu des femmes tout en réduisant les pressions sur la forêt de Niaouli. A l’issue de cette formation les participants produiront plus de 5000 plants à mettre en terre en Juin 2020.
Au début de la formation les responsables de l’ONG SOS BIODIVERSITY ont invité les participantes à une bonne écoute.
Au cours de la formation plusieurs thèmes ont été abordés par les formateurs à savoir :
– Les critères de choix d’un site de pépinière ;
– Les techniques de récoltes des semences forestières ;
– Les techniques d’empotages et d’alignements des pots sur une planche ;
– Les techniques de traitements des semences forestières ;
– Les techniques de gestion des stocks de plants en pépinières.
En abordant ces différents points, les participantes ont posé des questions d’éclaircissement aux quelles les formateurs ont apportés des réponses. Notons qu’une phase pratique a été effectués par les participantes. Durant cette phase, les femmes du groupement ont réalisé l’empotage, l’alignement et le semis des essences.
Les points inscrits à l’ordre du jour étant épuisés, la séance de formation a pris fin avec une grande satisfaction des participants et sur les mots de remerciement des responsables de l’ONG SOS BIODIVERSITY (Mr Sunday Berlioz KAKPO), de la présidente du groupement et du Chef village.

On Saturday, March 21, 2020, a training session was held in Niaouli in the municipality of Allada (Benin) on the production methods of some forest species (Moringa oleifera, Artemisia annua, Khaya senegalensis, Terminalia superba, Tectona grandis). The participants were mainly composed of women from the “Missimahou” group. A few men from the village interested in the training added to the training, which brought together around twenty participants.
The objective of this training is to diversify the income-generating activities of women while reducing the pressures on the Niaouli forest. At the end of this training, participants will produce more than 5,000 plants to plant in June 2020.
At the start of the training, the leaders of the NGO SOS BIODIVERSITY invited the participants to listen.
During the training, several topics were addressed by the trainers, namely:
– The criteria for choosing a nursery site;
– Forest seed harvesting techniques;
– Potting techniques and aligning pots on a board;
– Methods for treating forest seeds;
– Techniques for managing stocks of seedlings in nurseries.
By addressing these different points, the participants asked clarifying questions to which the trainers provided answers. Note that a practical phase was carried out by the participants. During this phase, the women of the group carried out the potting, alignment and sowing of the species.
The items on the agenda being exhausted, the training session ended with great satisfaction of the participants and on the words of thanks from the leaders of the NGO SOS BIODIVERSITY (Mr Sunday Berlioz KAKPO), the president of the group and the village chief.
